Get Me To The Gig – Seen on route D2 serving Priory Estate and Dudley is fleet number 4729, registered 729 BHA. The BMMO D7 was the first double-deck bus design produced by Birmingham and Midland Motor Omnibus Company Ltd. (BMMO—Midland “Red” Motor Services) to the new lightweight standard. A total of 350 examples were built in four batches between 1953 and 1957,all with bodywork by Metropolitan-Cammell Carriage and Wagon Company (“Metro-Cammell”) to BMMO’s design.
